Our Story

It all started one day on the beach in San Diego, where my cousin and her sister were enthusiastically raving about menstrual cups. At the time, talking about menstrual cups strange and uncomfortable—especially since I had just started using tampons and was still just getting used to the idea of traditional period products. But fast forward a few years to when I was living in the Netherlands for college, and everything changed.

As a broke college student trying to make my budget stretch, I stumbled upon menstrual cups as a cost-effective, eco-friendly option. I decided to try one, and although it took a bit of time to get used to, I quickly discovered how life-changing it was. For one, as a girl who loved lifting, I found it a game changer compared to itchy tampons and bulky pads. And as a busy college student, I was able to go the whole day without having to worry about ducking into the bathroom to change a tampon or worse, find myself in a leaking accident. The menstrual cup let me do everything I loved without worrying about leaks or discomfort.

What’s more, it made me feel empowered to spend my limited funds wisely. I no longer had to constantly buy tampons or pads since my cup would last for years. That financial relief even made room for a treat here and there, like a chocolate bar. With this newfound freedom, I started sharing my experience with friends—and soon realized I wasn’t alone in feeling this way.

As I talked to more people, I learned that menstrual cups weren’t just life-changing; they were transformative. But many girls and women I spoke to were hesitant to make the switch. Some who were already using menstrual cups struggled with leakage or removing them because of the hard-to-grip stem; others hadn’t taken the leap for fear of removal disasters or not knowing how to put it in. Some hadn’t even heard of menstrual cups and just accepted the inconveniences of traditional products.

That’s when I decided I had to do something about it. I wanted to make menstrual cups more accessible to girls everywhere and help them break through the barriers that were holding them back. I began researching, gathering feedback, and working tirelessly to create the perfect cup that fixed all of these common pain points.

After months of dedication, I received my first shipment of menstrual cups. With the help of my brother, we set up a little packaging assembly line and packed each cup by hand. I shared the product with everyone I knew including family and friends, and started educating them on how to use it. Through this process, I not only found the perfect product, including the innovative ring that has helped so many overcome their fears and solve common issues with other cups like removal, but also uncovered even more benefits: menstrual cups are not only more budget-friendly and comfortable but also better for the environment and so much safer than traditional products.
